Miss Miriam Manook

A renal transplant surgery trainee, Miriam is half Armenian, and has long wanted to use her surgical skills to benefit others more widely.

Ashot Sarkissian

Clinical lead of the paediatric nephrology department of Arabkir Medical Center, Ashot has been central to setting up and developing this transplant partnership between the UK & Armenia.

Helen Nazaryan

Paediatric nephrologist, Helen Nazaryan has been involved and integral to the transplant program at Arabkir since its infancy. She is a key driver in implementation of plans for deceased donor transplantation.

Sergey Babloyan

Paediatric urologist, Sergey is a versatile surgeon who has been instrumental in adopting surgical techniques for transplantation, as well as extending the skills within the unit in managing more complex transplant recipients.

Boghos Geghikyan

Like Sergey, Boghos is a talented paediatric surgeon, who has adopted and adapted laparoscopic techniques for use in Armenia.

Responsible for post-transplant follow up and care, Milena is spending time at Guy’s as a clinical observer in transplant nephrology.
